LAHORE: A furniture m
arket in Lakshmi Chowk was engulfed in flames on Monday.
Officials said the fire swallowed up huge quantities of furniture and other equipment in
the mar
ket. The firefighters also reportedly faced difficulty in reaching the site due to the narrow al
leys and ongoing construction work on
the metro train.
There has been no official confir
mation as to the reason for the fire.
