FARGARH: Assistant Commissioner Dr SaifUllah Bhatti on Saturday arrested 11 middlem
en for purchasing sugarcane from farmers at low prices.
According to reports, the official, working on a tip, raided Shahjamal area and arrested eight middlemen c
omprising Ghulam Mustafa, Saif Ullah, Zahid Hafiz, Bashir Khan, A
mjad, Shaukt, Shahid and Waseem. Cases were registered against them.
Meanwhile, in anothe
r raid at Chowk Qureshi area, the assistant commissioner arrested three other middlemen c
omprising Muhammad Sajid, Muhammad Javed and Mukhtiar Hussain for the same offence. Cases were also registered against them. Further investigation was underway. APP
